SoftSignals began, like many meaningful things do, at home.
We’re parents first. Parents to incredible autistic and ADHD children who experience the world in ways that are beautiful, intense, overwhelming, creative, and sometimes exhausting, for them and for us. We quickly learned that many everyday environments weren’t designed with their nervous systems in mind. Bright lights, loud sounds, busy classrooms, uncomfortable clothing, unexpected transitions, things most people barely notice could become real barriers to comfort, calm, and confidence.
We found ourselves constantly searching for ways to help them feel safe, regulated, and understood.
We rarely found tools that truly helped, so we started making our own, designed around our children’s real sensory needs and everyday lives.
So we created SoftSignals.
SoftSignals exists to create thoughtful, sensory-aware products designed from lived experience, not theory. Everything we design comes from the perspective of families who understand the small signals that can make a big difference: the need for calm without attention, comfort without compromise, and support that respects independence.
Our children taught us that sensory needs aren’t problems to fix, they’re signals to listen to.
That belief sits at the heart of everything we do.
We focus on creating products that are:
SoftSignals isn’t just a business. It’s part of our family’s journey, and we hope it becomes a helpful part of yours too.
Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, educator, or neurodivergent individual yourself, you’re welcome here.
